Serenoa Repens (Saw Palmetto) [640 mg] *
Dry extract titrated to 45% fatty acids
* equivalent to 320 mg liposoluble extract titrated to 90% in fatty acids.
The most common cause of hair loss in men is the conversion of male hormone testosterone into dihydrotestosterone by the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase. This hormone attacks hair follicles, causing hair loss. Dihydrotestosterone is also the cause of enlargement of the prostate. The Saw Palmetto plant has been used for thousands of years by native Americans as food and care. Today it is also widely used for medical purposes to prevent hair loss, treat bladder infections, treat prostate cancer and regulate libido reduction. Because it is a blood thinner, it is believed that it also reduces the risk of heart disease. Specifically, Serenoa Repens is very useful to the hair because it contrasts the production of dihydrotestosterone, prevents DHT from binding on the receptors of the cells of the hair follicle and its anti-inflammatory properties. It is totally safe and natural; only children, women breastfeeding and people who take anticoagulant drugs cannot use this product.
L-cysteine [80 mg]
L-cysteine is a vital amino acid that helps to synthesize proteins in our body. This amino acid is used in the synthesis of protein blocks such as hair keratin; it constitutes 10-14% of hair and skin. The body also converts L-cysteine into glutathione, a powerful antioxidant (anti-cycling) that protects our cells from damage and death. The glutathione molecule, essential for the prevention of aging, cancer, cardiovascular disease, dementia and various chronic/degenerative diseases, also plays a vital role in hair protection.
Ginkgo Biloba Extract [40 mg]
The therapeutic value of the plant of Ginkgo Biloba has been discovered for the first time in China, then spread later in Europe. Among the oldest living trees in the world, its plant has been used for hundreds of years to improve memory. It accelerates the blood flow and regulates the transport of oxygen and nutrients necessary to our hair, preventing thinning and loss of such. In addition to this, it prevents inflammations leading to hair loss. Studies have shown that the plant stimulates hair growth and contributes to having thick, healthy and shiny hair.
Silice [40 mg]
Silica is the second most common element in the world and the third most common element in the human body. It is also found in the extract of equiseto. It is indispensable in the formation of the main components of skin, hair and nails. To obtain bright and resistant hair from the fall it is important to have a sufficient amount of silica in their body. It also improves the texture of the hair.
Green tea (Camellia) [40 mg]
Green tea is a very beneficial plant containing antioxidant vitamin enzymes and amino acids. It reduces the risk of cancer and heart disease, inflammation of the skin, cholesterol, formation of free radicals (carcinogens) and damage to the nervous system that occur with age, it is also very healthy for the immune system. Green tea is rich in catechins, which reduce the synthesis of dihydrotestosterone; it also blocks damage caused to hair follicles from free radicals with its antioxidant effect, thus preventing thinning and hair loss.
Metionina-L [50 mg]
It is one of the essential amino acids of our body. It is fundamental in preventing Parkinson's disease and colorectal cancer. It is vital for strengthening bones, weight loss and protein synthesis in hair and skin. Helps hair to be strong and resistant and skin to remain young and shiny.
Ginseng (Radice and leaves) [20 mg]
Ginseng protects the body and skin from radiation and has an anti-aging effect. Recent studies have revealed that red ginseng has a wide range of bioactive molecules. Groups containing saponin compounds are called ginsenosides; these not only stimulate hair growth, but also protect our indigenous follicles by inhibiting apoptosis, programmed cell death that decreases hair production. Another role that plays ginseng is the suppression of the formation of dihydrotestosterone, thus preventing the hair loss in men.
Root vegetable [40 mg]
The nettle has been used for thousands of years in the recipes of healers, being very rich in vitamins and minerals. Studies have shown that the nettle suppresses the formation of dihydrotestosterone showing a similar effect to Finasteride without repeating the same side effects. Another recent study has shown that this natural extract acts on the erector muscles placed around the root and nerves that control them, creating a stimulating effect that prevents hair loss.
Vitamin C [40 mg]
Ascorbic acid is a hydrosoluble vitamin that prevents the formation of free radicals and has an antioxidant effect (anthyrcinogen). It also plays a vital role in creating collagen, which in turn is an essential element for skin, nails and hair. It also plays a crucial role in the absorption of iron by the intestine. Therefore it is important in the prevention of hair loss due to iron deficiency.
Vitamin B3 Niacin [16 mg]
Vitamin B3 is essential for skin, kidney and brain health. Many skin products contain niacin and niacinamide, a conversion of Niacin, which must be taken daily. Prevents inflammation of the skin and acne and protects it from UV rays and aging. Its effect on hair is to increase the synthesis of keratin, which represents a constituent element, thus stimulating growth and increasing the vigor of the hair.
Vitamin B5 (Acido Pantotenico) [12 mg]
It plays an active role in the metabolism of the main constituent elements of the body and in the production of enzymes and hormones of the nervous system, very valuable for the skin. Vitamin B5 is present in almost all shampoos with the name of provitamin B5. The forms of panthenol are used in creams and lotions to hydrate the skin. It is essential to maintain hair elasticity and stimulate the formation of new cells in hair follicles. Gives a radiant look to the hair, increasing its vitality. People who regularly use hair dryers or other similar devices (e.g. smoothing plates), and people who expose themselves to the sun must include this vitamin in their diet.
Vitamin E [12 mg]
Vitamin E is a natural antioxidant, which prevents the damage of free radicals to the hair, thus preventing the fall. It also helps hair to get a bright look. Studies have shown that vitamin E has increased hair growth in people with alopecia.
Zinc [10 mg]
It is an essential element present in many foods, involved in many chemical reactions and in many functions of enzymes in our body. It always plays a leading role in cell reproduction, in the absorption of nutrients and vitamins, and in the synthesis of essential elements. Zinc deficiency mainly leads to hair loss and nail breakage; in fact, the levels of zinc in the blood of men affected by baldness have been significantly low. It is believed that zinc reduces the formation of dihydrotestosterone by suppressing enzyme 5 alpha reductase, and supports beneficial changes to the protein structure of the hair, limiting the break and formation of double tips.
Iron [10 mg]
Iron is an indispensable element to our organism, the main constituent of hemoglobin, which gives our blood the characteristic red color. This substance takes oxygen from our lungs and transports it to every cell in the body. When there is iron deficiency, the body is committed to transporting oxygen to vital organs, thereby reducing the amount that goes to all other organs, including our hair. Iron is also the main constituent of the reductase ribonucleotide enzyme that helps cell growth. In the absence of iron, this enzyme cannot guarantee sufficient functionality and our hair cannot create new cells. Since our iron values can be low even without anemia, a related study should be investigated in people with alopecia.
Vitamin B1 Tiamina Hydrochloride [2,2 mg]
Vitamin B1 has many functions in our body, the most important is the conversion of food into energy by all our cells. Since it is not produced by our organism, it must be taken by food. A lot of energy is necessary for the protection and health of hair, therefore tiamina is a very valuable resource for this purpose. It also has an antioxidant effect.
Vitamin B2 Riboflavina Hydrochloride [1,4 mg]
Vitamin B2 is very important for our immune system and is necessary to produce energy. It guarantees good absorption of iron, maintaining sufficient levels in the blood; increases the durability of our red blood cells, bringing more oxygen to our hair. It also activates other vitamins of group B, contributing to healthy hair growth and cell development.
Vitamin B6 Piridossina [1,4 mg]
It activates enzymes that initiate protein metabolism and enables the synthesis of keratin and melanin, the main constituent elements of hair. In this way, the hair receives sufficient proteins to maintain their strength, and to ensure their renewal and proliferation. Vitamin B6 also controls the production of hormones secreted by some glands such as testicles and ovaries. In addition, a vitamin B6 compound regulates the functions of our sex hormones: remember that dihydrotestosterone, produced by testosterone, is the main cause of male hair loss.
Vitamin H (Biotin) [0,10 mg]
The body needs vitamin H or B7 (Biotin) to convert nutrients to energy: it reduces inflammation, improves cognitive function, helps regulate blood sugar in patients with diabetes, increases good cholesterol and protects from heart disease. It also improves the keratin infrastructure, which is the main ingredient for hair, skin and nail health.
Vitamin B9 Folic Acid [0,4 mg]
Folic acid is the main responsible for healthy cell growth. Today every pregnant woman is prescribed folic acid because it protects the health of the child with rapid cellular growth in the uterus. With this effect the B9 ensures healthy hair growth and helps keep them strong. Folic acid is also responsible for the health of red blood cells: therefore contributes to providing the necessary oxygen to the hair.
Selenium methionine [0,05 mg]
Selenium is found in about 35 proteins and many enzymes that play a role in reproductive functions, DNA synthesis and antioxidant activity of the body. Selenium should be present in the structure of thyroid hormones, which are essential for hair, as they also ensure the activation of enzymes that regulate cell growth.
Astaxanthin powder 5% Astareal [0,2 mg]
Astaxanthin, derived from a fresh water algae, is a molecule with high antioxidant power. The properties attributed to this substance are really numerous and remarkable. In addition to its main antioxidant action, it shows a good anti-inflammatory effectiveness. It allows above all to counter the harmful action of free radicals. Along with anti-inflammatory power, it tends to promote the prevention of joint problems and slows down the degenerative process due to aging processes. Some recent studies have reported an important inhibition activity of enzyme 5 alpha reductase by astaxanthin which proved useful to decrease symptoms of prostate hyperplasia and to counter prostate cancer. The same compound, according to these studies, seems to increase the effectiveness of saw palmetto extract in its anti-dht activity and is therefore useful also for use in the tricological field against androgenic alopecia.
Licopene [6 mg]
Lycopene is an antioxidant carotenoid and its consumption is associated with reducing the risk of chronic cardiovascular disease, benign prostatic hypertrophy and cancer (especially prostate).
Several studies ensure that lycopene intake effectively counters oxidative stress and (through the Are/Nrf path2) promotes hair growth and health.
Supplements should not be understood as substitutes for a varied and balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
