Description

The Nuraghe Moscato Spumante Dolce is the Charmat Method Aromatic Sparkling Wine of the Cantina Sociale di Mogoro.

Il Nuraghe, one of the last labels marketed by the cooperative together with Il Nuraghe Rosé Spumante Brut and Mora Bianca.

The Nuraghe Moscato Spumante Dolce is obtained from Moscato grapes from vineyards grown on sandy soils overlooking the coastal area, harvested at the beginning of September to guarantee the right amount of acids: the must before vinification is macerated on the skins for six hours, to guarantee a greater aromatic charge, and fermentation is started with selected yeasts. The second fermentation in autoclave follows, where it rests for sixty days, with the fermentation process stopping when the residual sugar is eighty grams per liter.

In the glass, the Nuraghe Moscato Spumante Dolce is straw yellow with greenish reflections, animated by fine chains of bubbles that reflect the light.

The nose reveals aromatic aromas of roses and white freesias, melon and apricot and sage leaves.

On the palate Nuraghe Moscato Spumante Dolce is a sweet wine, where the softness is tempered and rebalanced by the decisive freshness, the fine sapidity and the pungency of carbon dioxide: sugars help the aromas in persistence.

The Nuraghe Moscato Spumante Dolce is a sparkling wine to be uncorked at the end of a meal, which finds its perfect combination with leavened dough desserts: at Christmas time the classic Pandoro, or at Easter with the softest and most delicate Colombe margherita! Or, to accompany small pastries, such as custard or cream puffs!
